Goodbye Plastic Straws
On August 29, 2024, we sold our very last plastic straw โ and thatโs something worth cheering about! In our effort to reduce single-use plastics, 1860 has officially made the switch to Sugarcane Straws.
Now, every sip you take at 1860 is a little lighter on the planet.
It may be a small change, but together with our community, we believe small steps lead to big impact.
Thank you for sipping sustainably with us and making a difference one cup at a time.
1860cares: Turning Waste into Wonders
At 1860, even whatโs โleft behindโ gets a second chance. Through our Turning Waste into Wonders initiative, weโve opened our doors to anyone who wants to give new purpose to everyday discards.
Guests can collect spent coffee grounds to use as a natural skin exfoliator, a plant fertilizer, a deodorizer, or even for research. We also offer 750mL plastic bottles and 2L plastic jugs that others have found creative ways to reuse โ from sauce containers, laundry soap dispensers, to flower pots and piggy banks.
Itโs all about seeing waste differently: not as something to throw away, but as something to transform. Full of purpose, free of charge โ thatโs our promise.
